Natasha Seatter Wins the Roxy "Let The Sea Set You Free" Malaysian level


Roxy Malaysia is proud to announce our winner for the Roxy contest Malaysian level, who is none other than our Malaysian Youth icon, MISS NATASHA SEATTER!!! Yay! Congratulations Natasha!


Natasha will now be representing Malaysia in competing with the other 74 finalists around the world for the final global contest. The winner for the final contest will receive these AMAZING prizes such as a trip to Biarritz, France, meeting the Roxy pro athletes, receiving up to USD$ 5,000 and becoming the face and voice for Roxy.
 
Currently, the finalists for the global contest are required to submit a 1 - 2 minute video, explaining "Why and how the sea sets you free". The voting for the finalists will begin on the 1st of June 2012 till 11th of June 2012. The winner will be chosen based on 50% votes and 50% by judges. So support our Malaysian girl and remember to vote for Natasha on June 1st till June 11th! 



Here's some background info on Natasha Seatter. She was born on March 7, 1993 in Miri, Sarawak and she is a Malaysian Racing driver. At the age of 19 years old, Natasha has been paving the way for Malaysian youths and race car drivers since her freshman debut in 2005. She began her career as a junior member of the Klub Kart Selangor and developed her reputation in the local and International arena by competing in championships held across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Macau, India, Japan, China and United Arab Emirates. She was placed second in the Yamaha SL Cup Malaysia Series 2008 and fourth in the Asian Karting Open Championship 2008.




Natasha became the first female Malaysian racer ever in the Formula BMW Asia Pacific Series when she competed as a rookie in 2010. In January 2011, Natasha was the youngest and only female driver who was tested and approved by former F1 champions, Nigel Mansell, Jean Alesi and the lotus F1 development driver, James Rossiter to drive the new Lotus T125 at the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi. In August 2011, she has been quoted as Asia’s fastest female formula driver in the Star newspaper after her first podium win in the Formula Pilota China series in Ordos, China. In February 2012, she made history by becoming the first female ever to win a race in the UAE. Natasha has big ambitions to compete in the GP2 Series, or IndyCar Series and of course sets her dream to compete in the Formula 1.




Besides that, Natasha does her bit for charity by contributing her time towards the poor and homeless. She also enjoys surfing amongst the waves or scuba diving in the ocean and even sailing. She is passionate about the environment and had saved turtles. She is currently studying for her helicopter’s pilot licence. Her other interests includes reading, fitness training, sports and horse riding.
